INSEAD

INSEAD is one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools, with campuses in Europe (France), Asia (Singapore) and Abu Dhabi. INSEAD's business education and research spans three continents. The school's 145 renowned Faculty members from 35 countries inspire more than 1,000 degree participants annually in their MBA, Executive MBA, Specialised Master's degrees (Master in Finance, Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change) and PhD programmes.

INSEAD became a pioneer of international business education with the opening of the Fontainebleau campus in Europe in 1960. In 2000, INSEAD opened our Asia campus in Singapore. And in 2007 the school began an association in the Middle East, officially opening the Abu Dhabi campus in 2010.

Our Collaboration

Project Inspire : 5 minutes to Change The World

Launched in 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day and the 25th anniversary of MasterCard in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Project Inspire presents 18-35 year olds with a 5-minute platform to pitch their inspired idea to the world and win a US $25,000 grant to make their idea a reality.

Their idea, to be submitted in the form of a 5-minute video or written pitch, had to showcase creativity and demonstrate sustainable impact in the lives of women and girls in disadvantaged communities in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa through education, skills training, financial inclusion or social entrepreneurship.

As the academic partner of Project Inspire, INSEAD lends its expertise and knowledge in organizing international business competitions. Patrick Turner, Affiliate Professor of Entrepreneurship, has led the Project Inspire judging panel since its inaugural event and conducted management workshop for the finalists.

INSEAD also opens its facilities to Project Inspire finalists during the Grand Finals week, host the Grand Finals of Project Inspire and is the venue sponsor of Project Inspire Livelihood Fair.

Public Education

Partnership with INSEAD has helped to raise public awareness towards the issues of trafficking, gender representation in the media and female foeticide. We highlight the impact of these issues on the society, business and economy through a series of movie screenings, talks and panel discussions organized in conjunction with International Women's Day.

Well-attended by members and friends of UN Women Singapore, INSEAD students and alumni, professionals from public, private and the non-profit sectors, our public education initiatives featured notable speakers including CNN Hero 2010, Anuradha Koirala and Siddarth Kara, one of the world's foremost experts on modern day slavery and human trafficking.
